Ingredients
- 1 lb 450 g beef stew meat or cubed steak
- 1 packet 1 oz / 28 g brown gravy mix
- 2 cups 480 ml water
- 1 cup 190 g uncooked white rice
Instructions
- Add to slow cooker
- Place the beef into the slow cooker. Sprinkle the gravy mix evenly over the meat.
- Pour liquid
- Add the water and gently stir to combine, making sure the meat is coated.
- Cook low and slow
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Cook the rice separately
- About 20 minutes before serving, cook the rice according to package instructions.
- Serve
- Spoon the tender beef and rich gravy over the cooked rice and serve warm.
