Ingredients
→ Filling
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
→ To Assemble
8 small flour tortillas
Oil for frying
Steps
Combine shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, softened cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix until well-combined and smooth.
Lay out the flour tortillas. Spoon approximately 3 tablespoons of the filling onto one edge of each tortilla. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
Heat about 1 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Place the rolled taquitos seam-side down in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Remove fried taquitos from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with dipping sauces like salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
Tips
- Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture, but avoid overheating to prevent burning.
