Ingredients
2 cans Pilsbury crescent dough
12 pieces deli ham
8 slices Pepper Jack Cheese
1-2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
3-4 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp minced or dried garlic
Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove crescent dough from the tube and roll out. Press seams together to form one large piece of dough.
Line or grease a 7 x 11-inch baking dish with parchment paper or nonstick spray. Lay the dough in the baking dish and bake according to package instructions. Remove from oven when done.
Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the baked croissant base. Layer 4 slices of cheese (or enough to cover the entire surface) on top.
Fold each slice of ham in half and layer evenly over the cheese. Add the remaining cheese slices on top of the ham.
Remove the second batch of dough from the tube, press the seams together, and place it over the top layer of cheese.
In a small bowl, melt butter and mix in dried parsley and minced garlic. Brush the mixture evenly over the top dough layer.
Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top dough is golden brown and cheese is melted. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving as the cheese will be very hot.
Tips
- Allowing the sandwiches to rest helps prevent burns and allows the cheese to firm slightly, making slicing easier.
