She deserves a new loving homeas soon as she has recovered

What a daring but you can see the hurt in her eyes.
Hope she can get her forever home with lots of love, hugs, kisses cuddles too.
She was lying in murky water near Interstate 240 and Pennsylvania Avenue, wrapped in a tarp with metal over it.
Oklahoma City Animal Welfare officers pulled her out and rushed her for emergency veterinary care.
The dog was less than a year old. Angel Fund OKC gave her the name Adaline, or Addie for short.
At Neel Veterinary Hospital, the staff saw how badly she had been [hu.rt]. Addie was covered in filth and [fle.as], with [sw.ell.ing] and [bru.ising] across her body.
Then X-rays revealed five or six [bu.llet] fragments lodged in her head.
Her lungs were [br.uis.ed] too. The veterinary team began giving her fluids and monitoring her breathing, sinuses and neurological condition in the ICU. So far, the [fr.agme.nts] have not been found to have entered her brain.

Misty Wilson of Angel Fund OKC described Addie as a sweet but frightened dog. She walks with her head lowered, avoids eye contact and is [af.raid] of having her head touched.
Despite everything she endured, Addie made it through her first night in care.
She is still receiving intensive treatment, and a foster home is ready for her when she is strong enough to leave the hospital.
For now, her caregivers are watching over a young dog who survived long enough for someone to find her.
Thank God you found her. Thank you to the people who helped with the saving of a defenceless animal.
Praying for you sweet Addie
Please keep Addie in your prayers as she fights to heal.
