Ingredients
→ Meat
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons taco seasoning or 1 packet
1/4 cup water
→ Wrap
12 burrito-size flour tortillas
6 tostada shells
1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup tomatoes, diced
2 cups Mexican cheese blend, grated
→ Serving (Optional)
Salsa
Pico de gallo
Cilantro
Steps
Cook ground beef and onions in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no pink remains. Drain and return to pan. Add garlic, taco seasoning, and water. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Heat tortillas in the microwave for 10-20 seconds to soften and make folding easier. Heat nacho cheese sauce according to the jar’s directions. Lay 1 tostada in the center of a tortilla and cut a matching circle. Repeat for 5 more tortillas and set aside.
Place a large tortilla flat and begin building the wrap: start with taco meat, add nacho cheese, then top with a tostada. Spread a layer of sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese. Place a smaller tortilla (cut-out circle) on top. Fold up the edges to seal.
Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and heat to medium. Place the wrap seam side down and cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Flip and repeat on the other side. Continue for remaining wraps.
Serve immediately with optional toppings such as salsa, pico de gallo, or cilantro. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
