The Voice fans are making a surprising CeeLo Green comparison after BigCountry delivered a powerful Blind Audition that earned a three-chair turn.
The 37-year-old Tacoma singer impressed Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green with his soulful take on Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You.”
BigCountry ultimately chose Queen Latifah as his coach, but fans were already talking about his voice and the celebrity they thought he sounded like.

The Voice season 30 is only a few episodes in, but BigCountry has already become one of the contestants fans cannot stop talking about.
The singer from Tacoma, Washington, stepped onto the stage during the Blind Auditions and performed “I Put a Spell on You” in his own style. His deep, soulful vocals quickly caught the coaches’ attention.

Adam was the first to turn his chair, with Queen and Riley following soon after. Kelly Clarkson was the only coach who stayed facing the stage, later admitting that she regretted not turning around.
“Now I feel like a complete moron!” Kelly said after seeing BigCountry.
She explained that she had been waiting for him to show another level before deciding to turn, but she still praised his performance.
“BigCountry, you are one helluva singer,” Kelly told him.
Once the performance ended, the three coaches who had turned their chairs began competing for BigCountry.
Adam reminded him that he had turned first and pointed out his experience as a coach. Riley brought out his famous duck call, leading to a funny exchange with Adam, before making a more serious pitch about BigCountry’s ability to tell a story through his music.

Queen also made a strong case for herself.
“You got it! You got it!” she told him. “You just did that song from your heart for the people and that’s what I felt.”
She added that she wanted to see him win and promised to do whatever was necessary to help him throughout the competition.
In the end, BigCountry had a decision to make.
He chose Queen Latifah, officially becoming a member of Team Queen.
But while fans celebrated his three-chair turn, many viewers were also focused on his distinctive voice. Some compared his soulful sound to CeeLo Green, giving the singer an unexpected celebrity connection just after his first appearance on the show.
The reaction to his audition was huge.
“BIG COUNTRY ATE,” one fan wrote.
“That’s how you open the show!!” another viewer said.
“I need more of this!!” a third fan commented.
Another viewer praised the singer’s sound, writing, “His voice comes pre-mixed & mastered.”

One fan was simply amazed by the talent on display, writing, “all the hidden talent in this world is insane.”
And another viewer was already convinced BigCountry could go far, writing, “They found their winner. WOW!!!!!!!”
With a three-chair turn, a new coach in Queen Latifah and fans already comparing his voice to CeeLo Green, BigCountry has certainly given The Voice viewers plenty to talk about.
Now, fans will have to wait and see what he brings to Team Queen in the next round.
