 1 tbsp Olive Oil

 1 tbsp Salted Butter, divided

 4 tbsp Salted Butter

 2 Celery Ribs, diced

 2-3 Carrots, diced

 1 Medium Yellow Onion, diced

 1/4-1/2 tsp Salt

 1/4-1/2 tsp Pepper

 5-6 Garlic Cloves, minced

 2 tsp Herbs De Provence

 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

 1/2 tsp Onion Powder

 1/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour

 1½ Cups Chicken Broth

 3/4 Cup Heavy Cream

 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

4 Cups Steamed Broccoli Florets, chopped

→ For the Topping

1 Box Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix

 3/4 Cup Cold Water

 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

 1 tbsp Melted Butter

Garlic Herb Seasoning Packet (included with the biscuit mix)

Steps

Season the chicken with chicken seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet. Cook the chicken until fully cooked, then chop it into bite-sized pieces.

In the same skillet, cook the celery, carrots, and onion in the remaining butter until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the flour and cook for about 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream until the mixture thickens.

Mix the cooked chicken and steamed broccoli into the sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Transfer the filling to a greased deep 11-inch pie plate or a 9×13 baking dish. Scoop the prepared biscuit dough over the top of the filling.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the dish for about 20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Mix the melted butter with the garlic herb seasoning packet and brush it over the biscuits. Allow the dish to rest for 15 minutes before serving.

Tips

  1. Letting the dish rest ensures the filling sets, making it easier to serve.
