Crockpot Pepper Steak

Ingredients 

  • 2 lbs. Sirloin steak cut into strips
  • 2 tsp. Minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • ⅔ C. Hot water
  • 1 Beef bouillon cube
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 C. Chopped onion
  • 3 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. Brown sugar
  • 1 Can Diced tomatoes
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 Bell peppers sliced

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat on the stove.
  • Add the steak to the skillet, and saute until browned on the outside.
  • Place the bullion in the hot water and stir until dissolved.
  • Whisk the cornstarch into the water and bouillon mixture, and pour it into the crockpot.
  • Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce and brown sugar to the crockpot.
  • Pour the diced tomatoes and pepper to taste into the crockpot.
  • Mix the onions and browned beef into the crockpot, and stir to combine all of the ingredients well. Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6-7.
  • Add the sliced bell peppers and cook for an hour longer on either high or low before serving.

CookTime: 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low
