‘Frank’s Sign’ on Trump’s ear could be a major indicator of a potentially serious health condition.”

The alarming rash on President Donald Trump’s neck may have drawn attention to a potentially serious health condition, according to new reports.

The topic of Trump’s health has surfaced repeatedly over the past few years, but never more than since he began his second stint in the White House at the start of 2025.

Ugly bruises appearing sporadically on his hands have fueled speculation, while others have pointed to clips of the president seemingly slurring his words or even dozing off during meetings.

Trump himself — along with senior members of his administration — has repeatedly insisted he is in excellent health, but rumors persist that the 79‑year‑old may be hiding some sort of medical issue from the public.

And while it’s important to note that there is no concrete evidence supporting any kind of cover‑up, Trump’s appearance last week with a nasty‑looking rash on the side of his neck did little to quiet those convinced he may be in declining health.

During the Medal of Honor Ceremony on March 2, Trump sported an unsightly rash just above his shirt collar. It didn’t take long for people to weigh in, many suggesting it was yet another sign that the president’s health is slipping. Trump’s personal physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, issued a statement claiming the reddish patch was caused by a “preventative skin treatment.”

“President Trump is using a very common cream on the right side of his neck, which is a preventative skin treatment,” Dr. Barbabella said, according to the New York Times. “The president is using the treatment for one week, and the redness is expected to last for a few weeks.”

While Trump’s doctor insisted the rash wasn’t linked to any underlying condition, others have expressed doubts.

David Pakman, host of The David Pakman Show, analyzed the photos and pointed out a diagonal crease in Trump’s earlobe that could reportedly signal a serious health issue — specifically coronary artery disease. Pakman explained that the so‑called “Frank’s sign,” first described by Dr. Sanders Frank in 1973, is a diagonal earlobe crease often seen in patients with cardiovascular conditions.

“Since 1973 — that’s like what, 150 years now or something — there have been multiple studies looking at the correlation, not necessarily causative, but a correlation between that ear crease called Frank’s Sign and cardiovascular disease,” Pakman said.

“There is research showing that people with the crease are significantly more likely to be suffering from atherosclerosis. The theory is that small blood vessel damage in the earlobe tissue causes the sign and correlates with coronary artery disease.”

Pakman continued: “Trump is also almost 80 years old. He’s going to be 80 in three months. Skin creases and folds would be expected and normal. It doesn’t really prove anything. And lighting and camera angles can make Frank’s mark more noticeable.

“But that diagonal crease visible in photos is very similar to what doctors look at and say, ‘Oh, that should make us really look at atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease.’”
