The life-changing accident happened in 2009 when Dylan became trapped inside his family’s burning home. His father suffered serious burns while trying to rescue him, and his mother ultimately managed to pull him from the flames. By the time Dylan reached the hospital, doctors determined that about 84 percent of his body had been burned.
